What I Believe
Criteria for issues brought before the general assembly:
Would the decision be Constitutional and Moral?
Will it result in a more user-friendly government?
Would the law be simple to understand and easy to administer?
Will it complicate the way government works or will it simplify it?
Will it result in less government bureaucracy?
Will it benefit the residents of the 193rd?
Strong moral conservative
I support the Judeo-Christian ethics that are the basis of the traditions and morals of our community. We should consider these when it comes to our laws and how our judges interpret those laws.
Strong fiscal conservative
State funding must be carried out with the taxpayer in mind; we do not solve problems by throwing state money at it. If the money coming into the state coffers are lower because of a weaker economy, state spending needs to be lowered, not taxes increased.
Strong local government
Local governments need increased flexibility to control growth in their own community as they see fit. They also need the resources to deal with corporate lawyers.
