Wilson Will Tallman, after receiving the advice of family, friends, and Republican leadership in the 193rd Legislative district, has established a political action committee, WillFTallman.com, in his bid for the seat being vacated by Steve Nickol. "Steve was number eight on the Commonwealth caucus' list of fiscal conservatives for the Senate and House. That is a great credit to his tenure and I hope to follow in his steps," says Tallman. Will Tallman is focusing his campaign on five R's: REMOVE property tax as the primary source of income for local governments; REDUCE the size of government; REFORM the business-as-usual issues the House identified, but failed to adopt; RESTORE local power and authority that gradually has been usurped by Harrisburg; and RENEW the moral traditions that made our Commonwealth the Keystone of the nation. Will Tallman's campaign manager, Robin Wilson, has established the campaign committee and the members are excited about the work ahead. Tallman plans to spend full time campaigning and fund-raising until the April 22, 2008 primary. "I have my work cut out for me but I am committed to serving the interests of our district!" said Tallman. Tallman is not a newcomer to service. He is a member of the Hampton Fire Department; an EMT; worked with local youth baseball; worked in Hanover's Pal Lunch program for the needy; worked with the homeless and with Katrina victims in Alabama; a deacon in his church and involved in various church activities, especially the youth; and a PIAA official for both football and wrestling in our community for 15 years, among other things. Politically, he is a Republican State Committee member, President of the Republican Club, and represents his precinct on the Republican Committee. Will's family follows in his footsteps of service. Three of his children are missionaries and the fourth is in the Army. Will invites community members to contact him with any questions at 717 497-8141 or www.willftallman.com .
