Together we can BUILD a future!

A year has passed since you elected me to represent you in Harrisburg to control government spending and intrusion into our lives. What a privilege that has been! But, incredibly, the election process begins already and I am again asking you for your vote on May 17.

Sadly, we hear of elected officials leaving office because they have become discouraged with the process and feel they cannot make a difference. On the contrary, this office has allowed me great opportunities to intervene on the behalf our community members in their dealings with state government.

Additionally, I have been able to fight to protect individual income by helping derail the Governor’s plan to increase state income tax and by working to keep state spending under control. While working on the Education and the Labor Relations Committees, I have helped thwart the enactment of ill-conceived laws by preventing them from being forwarded to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

As you can see, this past year has been spent largely in combating the waste of this administration and slowing their progress in bankrupting our personal budgets. This fall we will elect a new governor and we have great prospects to BUILD a stronger Pennsylvania. I look forward to this more positive emphasis!
